Jewelry designer Yumi Chen has worn many hats before becoming a successful jewelry designer. As an accomplished concert violinist, professional pastry chef and mathematician, Yumi Chen draws inspiration from all of her diverse pursuits to create her colorful, timeless handmade jewelry.
While working as a pastry chef in Europe, Yumi developed a keen sense of color and balance, and was exposed to regional treasures like Venice’s world-renown art glass. Combining these aesthetic principles with the innate appreciation for precision and care that comes from being a musician and mathematician, Yumi’s jewelry collections are geometric, thoughtful pieces in a rainbow of uplifting colors, translucent beading and Swarovski crystals.
